The 1900 United States census showed William C. Benbow (age 35, born in April 1865 in Indiana, brickmaker) married to Annetta (age 33, born in May 1869 in Illinois) and living in Windom, Minnesota. An adopted son, George (age 4, born in May 1896 in Minnesota), also lived with the couple.
The 1905 Minnesota census showed William C. Benbow (age 42, born in Indiana, attorney) married to Annetta (age 38, born in Illinois) and living in Windom, Minnesota. A son, George B. (age 9, born in Minnesota), also lived with the couple.
The 1910 United States census showed William Benbow (age 47, born in Indiana, attorney) married to Annette (age 43, born in Illinois) and living in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon. A son, George B. (age 13, born in Minnesota), also lived with the couple.
W. C. (William) Benbow, attorney at law, Windom, was born in Indiana in 1863. He taught school six terms. Graduating at Ann Arbor Law School in 1890, he at once identified himself with this people and was elected county attorney, serving two years. He was editor of the Citizen for two years and engaged in the brick and tile business here. The 1930 United States census showed William C. Benbow (age 66, born in Indiana, attorney) married to Annett (age 62, born in Illinois) and living in Oak Grove, Clackamas County, Oregon.
William Benbow died November 2, 1940, in Clackamas County, Oregon. His wife’s name was Annettie.
