The mammoth plant of the new Farmers’ Co-operative Brick and Tile Co. is rapidly nearing completion. The main building will be 216x252 ft. in size and four stories high. Twelve large kilns are in process of erection. These kilns are built on heavy foundations of concrete and lined with fire brick. Each has a capacity of nine cars of product and they can be emptied direct into the railway cars. NEW FARMERS’ PLANT AT MASON CITY. On August 17th, at the annual meeting of the Farmers’ Co-operative Brick & Tile Co., whose stockholders are among the leading farmers in the co-operative movement in the state, the company chose their officers for the ensuing year. President, C. G. Messerole, Gowrie; vice-president, C. E. Hughes, Mason City; secretary, T. L. Flemming, Mason City. Plans have been made to begin the erection of a new brick and tile plant in Mason City, to cost $200,000.
