The contract for the new mill for the Crookston Lumber Co. is let to W. A. Wilkinson of Minneapolis, who will proceed at once to get in readiness for the work, as the contract calls for the mill to be ready for sawing on May 1, 1903.  Mr. Wilkinson will build shops on the mill site and within thirty days a force of men will be at work with adze and sledge putting up the finest sawmill north of Minneapolis.  Mr. Wilkinson contracted while here for 400,000 brick from Foley Bros.’ yard (in Bemidji, Minnesota), for use in the mill construction.  (The Bemidji Pioneer, Thursday, September 25, 1902, Volume VII, Number 30, Page 1)
