Anton Riedele Dies In Los Angeles, Age 79. A telegram received by the Herald editor Monday morning announced the death at Los Angeles, Cal., Easter night of his uncle, Anton Riedele, native son of Carver county, at the age of 79 years. His wife, the former Margaret Kunz and a sister of our late mother, passed away two years ago last August. Deceased was born on the Riedele homestead in Laketown, later known as the Kelm and still later as the Erwin Hedtke farm, and was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Andreas Riedele, pioneer settlers, who were among the organizers of the Guardian Angels Catholic parish. He operated brickyards in Chaska, Superior, Wis., Watkins and Bowlus, Minn., and for many years had resided in Los Angeles, associating himself with his brother, the late Philip Riedele in the spring and bumper manufacturing business, retiring after the death of Mrs. Philip Riedele. We have no further particulars except that we know that he entered a Los Angeles hospital a short time ago for a minor operation and await further word from the family upon which to base a formal obituary.
